Rebricking

Whether it be a restoration after external plumbing work or a remodel of doors and windows, we can rebrick the area accordingly.  We are also often able to source matching brick if need be.

Crack Repair

Foundation issues are ever present in North Texas.  We can help clear up the cosmetic ramifications at one point of the house or after a full pier and beam system has been installed.  Our mortar matching will blend with the existing mortar bonds of the house.

Color Restoration

Over time we notice that brick can lose its pigmentation.  Often due to water erosion, prolonged Texas heat can also contribute to lack of luster.  We use a methodical approach to match the existing brick no matter how new or old.

Corner Pops

Corner Pops can be a sticking point with home inspectors.  These are the ninety degree angles of the slab foundation that often break apart if exposed from the earth.  Although made of concrete, we are able to repair these to meet the compliance of home inspectors to facilitate a home sale.

Firebox & Chimney Repair

Prior to the mid 90’s, not much consideration was given to the prolonged heat mortar bonds would endure in a firebox as opposed to the external build.  Because of this, we use a refractory mortar that can handle temperatures up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit and can last twice as long as any standard Portland mixture on the market.

We offer a few custom options for chimney repair depending on the existing structure.  Hot summers cause crowns to break eventually.  A recasting with mortar is often the most cost effective approach and can last up to 10 years.  Please note it’s customary to first contact a roofer if you are experiencing any water leakage around the chimney.

Keystones & Retaining Walls

Keystones are often heavier than other brick and stone.  Any cracking of the mortar joints above an entryway can heighten the risk of a complete failure.  In this case, preventative maintenance is actually a safety precaution.

Similarly, stone retaining walls require a much stronger mortar joint than their corresponding brick counterpart.  It may be convenient for a homeowner to overlook the deterioration of these walls in a maintenance budget and while it may not pose the same safety risk as a loose entryway keystone, spotting and repairing these issues early can save homeowners thousands upon thousands of dollars in the inevitable demise of whole sections of the wall giving out.  Much like how the refractory mortar we use for the firebox can withstand excessive heat, we use a non-proprietary blend for strength when shoring up these stone walls.

Other Considerations

Flatwork & Pool Coping

High traffic areas not only have the natural wear and tear that comes with expansion and contraction of brick and mortar throughout the seasons but are also subject to the additional stress of people and activities.

Brick & Stone Cleaning

Often more needed on newer builds, we are able to acid wash any unintended obfuscation to restore brick or stone to its most appealing condition.
